Guide To Install TWRP Recovery And Root LG G6 H870

LG some day ago launched their new device LG G6 in global smartphone market. After long day now has a TWRP recovery ready for install. Today we share the guide to install TWRP Recovery and Root LG G6 H870. Now follow the step below and install TWRP on your LG G6 H870, after install you can customize your device whatever you want also root via it.

Till now official TWRP not released for LG G6. One XDA developer ” nima0003 ” made this custom TWRP recovery. There are have no bugs, fully stable recovery. The H870 International variant is the only one with an official bootloader unlock from LG. So first unlock bootloader of your device for those process.

After install TWRP recovery, you can root the device, remove bloatware Stock apps, and you can also customize your device in Android 6.0. TWRP recovery will help you to install custom ROM’s, install viper4android, Xposed framework, and other mods.

This guide helps you to Install TWRP Recovery and Root LG G6 H870 with SuperUser flashing via TWRP recovery. Hare we provide latest TWRP 3.1.1.0 version for your LG G6.

Preparation:-

Charge your device, minimum 50%.
Backup your important data, in case remove all data.
Enable developer options –

Go to settings ⇒ About phone ⇒ Tap on “build number” 7 times to enable developer options.

Enable USB Debugging.

Go to your settings ⇒ Developer options ⇒ tick the “ usb debugging ” checkbox.

Enable OEM Unlock.

Go to your settings ⇒ Developer options ⇒ tick the“ OEM Unlock ” checkbox

Guide To Install TWRP Recovery on LG G6:-

First, read Preparation, Download required files and Unlock bootloader of your device.
Extract “adb-fastboot-tool-2016.zip“.
Rename TWRP recovery IMG file ” twrp-3.1.1-0-h870.img ” to ” recovery.img ” and copy to adb-fastboot-tool-2016 Folder.
Open Command Prompt (CMD) windows in adb-fastboot-tool-2016 folder by Shift + Mouse Right click.

Connect your phone to PC.
Now paste this command on command window and hit enter to reboot your phone into bootloader (FASTBOOT) mode.

adb reboot bootloader

Flash custom TWRP recovery by this command.

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

For reboot your device type below command and hit enter.

fastboot reboot

TWRP installing successfully done, Now go to the root step.

Guide To Root LG G6 H870:-

Download and copy “ no-verity-opt-encrypt-5.1.zip ” and “ SuperSU.zip ” to the phone.
Connect your device to the computer and go to recovery mode by, open CMD windows, and type below command and hit enter:

adb reboot recovery

Select Language English Don’t allow “Swipe to Allow Modifications” cancel it in TWRP recovery.
Go to Install and Navigate to “ no-verity-opt-encrypt-5.1.zip ” and “ SuperSU.zip ” and install both files.
Wipe Cache.
Reboot (DO NOT INSTALL TWRP APP).

Instruction To Install TWRP V3 On LG Stylo 2 Plus:-

1.) Read Preparation Unlock Bootloader Download and unzip “adb-fastboot-tool-2016.zip“.

2.) Download TWRP_V3_LG_Stylo2_Plus.Zip Extract to get .img file rename it to recovery.img. Copy it to the adb-fastboot-tool-2016 folder.

3.) Connect your phone to PC and open a cmd window on the ADB-fastboot-tool folder by Shift + Mouse Right – Open Cmd Here.

4.) Now type or paste this commands to turn on your phone into fastboot. Or manually by Volume Down+ Power.

adb reboot bootloader

Flash TWRP recovery Via This Below Command.

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

Switch off the phone. Hold the VOL Down + Power button until the LG logo appears. Then release power button for temporarily, immediately press and hold the power button. (DON’T RELEASE THE VOL DOWN BUTTON) Hold until you see factory reset screen. By using hard keys select Yes and Yes to boot into recovery.
Now don’t reboot your phone just head to root guide.

Root LG Stylo 2 Plus:

Go to Mount -> Enable MTP Connect To Pc.
Copy Downlaod and copy lastest no-verity-opt-encryptzip file “no-verity-opt-encrypt.zip” and “SuperSU 2.82.zip” to Internal storage .
Go To Install Flash “no-verity-opt-encrypt.zip” then “SuperSU 2.82.zip“.
Back and Reboot.
Done you have Rooted your LG Stylo 2 Plus. Now you can try below MODs.

Reboot and enjoy check root access with root checker.

Important Note: – Flash no-verity-opt-encrypt.zip otherwise the phone will not boot.

After the successful download, it will ask for root permission grant the root permission for it.
The Xposed framework will now be installed, reboot your phone for changes to take effect.
Now open the Xposed framework app and see red mark will be gone, if it is properly installed. You will see a green mark if it is installed properly. Like in the below image.

Step 3-> Connect your phone to PC.

Step 4-> Now type or paste this commands to cmd windows then hit enter.

That will turn your phone into fastboot mode (Alternatively Volume Up + Power).

Step 5-> This command will find Device ID which is needed to generate your unique unlock key.

Don’t Disconnect or turn off your phone.

$ fastboot oem device-id

Step 6-> Now go the LG developers unlock site Link Paste the IMEI no, and copy Device ID Confirm.

In a few Minute, the unlock.bin will be emailed to your email id. Download unlock.bin to a computer.

Step 7-> Copy unlock.bin to “adb-fastboot-tool-2016” folder .

Step 8-> Go To Cmd Window and paste this command.

fastboot flash unlock unlock.bin

This command will unlock your phone also factory reset your phone so do a backup when doing this.

fastboot reboot

Reboot your phone with this commands.

Instruction To Install TWRP On LG Stylo 3 Plus:-

1.) Read Preparation Unlock Bootloader Download and unzip “adb-fastboot-tool-2016.zip“.

2.) Download LG_Stylo3_Plus_TWRP.img Extract to get .img file rename it to recovery.img. Copy it to the adb-fastboot-tool-2016 folder.

3.) Connect your phone to PC and open a cmd window on the ADB-fastboot-tool folder by Shift + Mouse Right – Open Cmd Here.

4.) Now type or paste this commands to turn on your phone into fastboot. Or manually by Volume Down+ Power.

Flash TWRP recovery Via This Below Command.

Switch off the phone. Hold the VOL Down + Power button until the LG logo appears. Then release power button for temporarily, immediately press and hold the power button. (DON’T RELEASE THE VOL DOWN BUTTON) Hold until you see factory reset screen. By using hard keys select Yes and Yes to boot into recovery.
Now don’t reboot your phone just head to root guide.

Root LG Stylo 2 Plus:

Go to Mount -> Enable MTP Connect To Pc.
Copy Downlaod and copy lastest no-verity-opt-encryptzip file “no-verity-opt-encrypt.zip” and “SuperSU 2.82.zip” to Internal storage .
Go To Install Flash “no-verity-opt-encrypt.zip” then “SuperSU 2.82.zip“.
Back and Reboot.
Done you have Rooted your LG Stylo 2 Plus. Now you can try below MODs.

Reboot and enjoy check root access with root checker.

Important Note: – Flash no-verity-opt-encrypt.zip otherwise the phone will not boot.
